Finance Director, 125-150k +bonus

Our client, a multi-billion dollar private equity firm is looking for a Finance Director to lead the finance and accounting team.  Responsibilities include; overseeing all general partnerships, managing the reporting process, developing Investor Relations programs, preparing high level analysis for the firm’s compensation committee, review quarterly tax returns and estimates for all partnerships, and research and implement technology solutions for accounting and reporting.  You will be the right hand person to the VP, Finance and be a strategic advisor to the Parnters.  Must have a public/private accounting background with approximately 10 years experience, a CPA and experience with the Big 4 and financial services is a plus.

  Treasury Manager, 70-90k +bonus

  Corporate Finance Manager, 80-100k +bonus

Our client, a publicly-traded technology company is looking for a Corporate Finance Manager with extensive revenue recognition experience. This person will serve as internal expert and technical reference on revenue recognition matters related to complex software and hardware solution sales.
The key responsibilities will include: accounting guidance to other departments, “red flag” contract terms, quarterly reviews and annual audits internal and external with emphases on revenue recognition, improve revenue processes and documentation, interest and ability to participate in other high-level accounting tasks including but not limited to SEC Reporting, acquisitions, consolidations and financial system integrations.
Ideal candidate will have BA in accounting, CPA, and Managers experience. Total experience of 7-10 years with a private a plus. This person should also have working knowledge of software revenue recognition literature including SOP 97-2, SOP 98-9 and SAB 104. They should have strong financial reporting, accounting skills, detail oriented with strong documentation skills and strong analytical and communication skills.  

  Audit Director, 150k +bonus

The Audit Director will work with senior levels of client management facilitating the identification and resolution of risk and control issues.  Directs work of the Audit team, providing leadership and supervision.  Involved with audit issues and strategies that have an impact beyond assigned business group and may have an enterprise-wide impact on the organization.  As part of the Audit Leadership Team, works closely with Audit Vice Presidents on addressing strategic and managerial matters for the Audit team, as well as Audit-wide matters, and provides broad leadership to the team.  Recognized by peers and others for exceptional technical and leadership capabilities and potential. 

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • BS/BA required in Accounting, Finance, Technology, or related field of study.

  Manager – Investment Reporting

Responsible for monthly management reporting and quarterly SEC/US GAAP reporting requirements for diverse $50+ billion investment portfolio, including cash flows, footnotes, MD&A, and analyst supplement. Assist in the interpretation of new investment related accounting pronouncements or SEC requirements to determine the impact on the disclosures of investment data in the financial statements and MD&A. Responsible for drafting new investment disclosures as required for inclusion in the annual and quarterly financial reports (including the research of alternative methods to determine the best for use in the financial statements). Assist in preparation of investment income plan and forecasts. Liaison with external auditors on investment financial reporting and accounting issues. Manager of staff. Contribute to the maintenance and testing of documentation of controls surrounding financial reporting for company attestation purposes. Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred. Accounting professional with minimum of five to ten years experience. Management experience required. Strong knowledge of investment related US GAAP/US SEC pronouncements and regulations, knowledgeable about investment finance concepts. 

  Senior Corporate Financial Auditor, 60-70k

Responsibilities:

  • Participates in pre-audit surveys, assembles and analyzes operational and financial data and identifies areas for subsequent audit; prepares specific audit programs for use by the audit team and estimates time requirements.
  • Reviews and evaluates all completed work, findings and recommendations for accuracy, adequacy and presence of sufficient supporting documentation; ensures that project work papers are assembled, maintained and filed correctly.
  • Directs daily activities of assigned auditors, monitors work progress, provides guidance and adjusts assignments when necessary.

Our client, a publicly-traded technology company is looking for a Finance Director to head one of their largest divisions.  This division drives approximately $480 mm of revenue with 1400+ employees.  The position reports directly to the corporate VP of financial planning and analysis and indirectly to the GM and VP of the division.  This position has 6 direct reports with a span control of approximately 24 employees.

The Director is the vocal point for all financial issues for this unit. The group’s responsibilities include revenue recognition, credit and collections, business financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, business modeling, management reporting and internal controls. 

The key responsibilities for this position include: strategic planning, objectives, operational support, lead finance team, scorecard development and reviews, performance reviews, staff meetings, training and development, business analysis, modeling, trend analysis, M&A, restructuring, preparing 3 year financial models, annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, Sarbanes – Oxley and this person must be familiar and comfortable with GAAP principles.

Ideal candidate will have 15 years of a successful senior level financial management.  You must have demonstrated ability to manage a large financial organization worldwide.  Must be polished, articulate and have business and financial breadth and acumen.  MBA, CPA and technology industry experience is desirable.

  Tax Accountant, 50-55k + bonus

The Tax Accountant will be a part of an eleven person tax team and a fifty-person broader finance team, which have collective goals and responsibilities.  Individual responsibilities will vary depending upon the needs of the broader team, but will include delivering against both operational and project responsibilities.  The primary responsibility of the position will be related to tax compliance. The main focus being preparation of federal and state income tax returns, sales and use tax returns and maintaining firm’s business registrations in the jurisdictions it is currently doing business in.  Additionaloperational responsibilities would be to lead and/or assist on a number of tax programs on a recurring basis, which could include any of the following areas:
           
            Domestic year-end tax planning 
            Assist with preparation/review of year-end tax provisions for the US entities
            Modeling of forecasted results on an interim basis
            Calculating and filing estimated tax payments
            Monitoring of state nexus and filing requirements
            Coordinating US information reporting of foreign affiliates

           
Project responsibilities could include any number of non-recurring priority projects.  The Tax Accountant could play a lead role on a tax or cross-functional team, for any of the following types of projects:

            Process re-engineering projects
            Analysis of intercompany allocations and transactions
            Opening of a new domestic office
            Federal and state audit defense

           
The individual will work closely with the global Tax team, peers within Global Services, affiliate controllers and external advisors.  The firm operates a flexible organizational structure, such that different people depending upon a specific project or operational area will evaluate the individual. 

Ideal candidate will have 1-3 years corporate tax experience, preparing and analyzing returns.  Public accounting experience is a plus, but not a must.

  Senior Tax Accountant, 70-90k + bonus

  Senior Financial Analyst, 65-75k
